Blue Cheese and Caviar

Lately my kids crave blue cheese and caviar on crackers.  They crack me up.  Hazel says cavi and it is just darling.  People....  Blue cheese and caviar...  can you belive it!

Lojkelsvatene hike

We had our first family hike this weekend, Lilly walked for a whole 2.5 hours to Lojkelsvaten cabin.  We had great weather on our way up.  It was windy but dry.  It started pouring as soon as we got to the cabin, and we had to walk home in sideways rain, but Lilly did great and it was good fun for the girls.  They liked the bunk beds the best!

Art school is back in session, and we kicked of the year by talking about one of my favorite artists, Andy Goldsworthy.  So we ran out in the school yard to see what we could put together as a class.  I love it and it was so fun to get the kids working together.

We had a party for the girls this weekend!  We all had lots of fun despite the beautiful weather!  The girls and their friends loved it and we had so many good helpers!  And the cake....

I had the coolest weekend I'v have in a long time.  My book club went mountain hiking and it was just what I needed.  My wonderful husband took care of the family while I was away and even got to apply his well trained midwife skills!  5 little chicks hatched while I was away (isn't that typical.....)

HAPPY BIRTHDAY #2 HAZEL!

How can you be 2 years old Little Hazel????!!!!!!  You were just born yesterday!  You are the coolest, funniest little girl with more spunk than any kid I know!  I can't believe how smart you are and how much  you talk and you love to sing and you are so good at it!  You try so hard to keep up with your big sis and do such a good job of it sometimes you fool me and I have to remind myself that you are 2 years younger than she is!  Happy Birthday little nut!  Daddy and I love you so much!

I have been meaning to make these forever and replace all my plastic toy baskets with them.  I am so tired of my plastic baskets not fitting in my cabinets and they get so dusty and nasty.  These can wash easy and mould to fit any space and are really cute.  My friend finally got me going and I whipped out four this evening!  So easy and SO much better than the ugly plastic!

Birthday/Wedding/Housewarming Gift

We are gearing up for a party tonight, and its gonna be fun!  For the gift some friends got together and got the couple two Norwegian "wild sheep" aren't they cute?!  It was a total surprise, it was lots of fun!  I love living in the country!
