farm life

We went to visit our friends farm today. We played indians in the teepee, saw a new baby calf, counted Lilly the pigs thirteen piglets.  Pet Peter Rabbits relatives, Met Lukas the lama and his new woman Sarah, and now wonder if we should be flattered that our friends are naming their livestock after us! The weather was wonderful and the kids had fun climbing on rocks!  We also squeezed in a Islandic horse show and some serious ice cream eating!

Summer Rain

We were gonna take a walk down to see Donkey...  But we got sidetracked!  The smiles on the kids faces...  Priceless!

Oh glorious summer day!

My day started out dressing the girls in our usual "summer" attire: wool t-shirts and overalls.  At about 10 we started rolling up sleeves and pant cuffs.  By 11 we got to put our swimsuits on for the FIRST time this summer.  I filled up our water tub and hot diggedy daug we were doing the summer dance!  But it just kept on getting better!  All sorts of friends dropped by and we grilled and ate great food on our newly painted lawn furniture, and more friends dropped by and we had some tea and coffee and the kids played and then my friend said "lets go sheer your sheep" so off we went to learn how to sheer sheep old school.  Sprinkle the day with a digger in our yard diggen me a round pen, some gardening, some happy chickens and we are in heaven!  Thanks to you all, it was fab!  Sorry no pics of the actual sheep sheering, but imagine three hot mommas, one with her babe.  We were out in a field. One holding sheep, one sheering, one babysitting.  Thats what I'm saying...

My Grandma was here!

We had so much fun and I was SO glad that the girls could meet and spend time with my gma.  It was fab, and my grandmother is super duper!

where to start...

I have not updated my blog in so long and it is stressing me out.  I have no idea where to start, yes I do... I need to call my brother and thank him for my new computer.  It is beyond anything we could ever ask for and it is changing my life every day.  I have been without a computer for so long now it is taking me some time to get back in it.  Not only do I have a computer, but a MacBook pro and holy munchkins it is awesome. And I get to learn more and more about this super cool mac everyday, and it is so cool I suggest everyone get themselves a mac right now!

So, what have I been doing?  well, my Grandma came to visit and it was legendary.

Yea, still no pc.  My man brought the work one home today.  Lots of changes on the farm, lost some and got some and enjoying the grass growing.  Hope to post pics of our 7 kg baby lamb that Andreas delivered all by himself last night, up all night tending his sheep.  What a man!

I have to post my little cowgirl.  This has been our spring fling, Lilly rides Donkey while Hazel rides in the backpack and up on the mountain trails!!!  I love the freedom of hillwalking without the lagging toddler, and she LOVES IT!

I'm posting these now cuz I've got some computer time...  But it was magical and we had three days we did nothing but fun.  Wow!  Thank you to our wonderful friends that let us share the love.  Lilly got to ride a train (that she remembers) for the first time...  Look at her...  It's priceless!
