A Sad Day
After much though, many soaks and Vaseline treatments and consideration we decided that Mr. Big would have a better life in rooster heaven. He came to our farm this summer with his lady, Miss Muffet. He has been nothing but a gentleman toward her and us. He was a big guy and was the alfa male in our flock. This winter his left leg got infected as he has had really bad scaly leg. We treated it and waited and hoped that it would get better, but it didn't. The flock left him this week and that was the last straw for us. We couldn't bare his loneliness. We will miss you Big, and we will take good care of Muffet.

GOOD TIMES
Spring is in the air. That means:

1. That the days are longer.
2. Donkey is about to foal.
3. I am half way to 40.
4. Mr. Big is not lame anymore (thank heavens).
5. The first flowers are starting to bud.
6. The deer are back in the yard.
7. We have bonfires with friends.
8. I finally put some stuff out on Etsy.
9. My animals are shedding, all of them, all over...
10. New ideas are happening in my head.
GOOD TIMES!

Big City

Lilly and I just got back from three days in Stavanger! We never get to stay that long! My sweet man took care of the animals while we were having fun! We took the buss too, which Lilly LOVED! I always forget to use my new camera, but mom took some cute pics. We were so lucky cus my little brother came down from college to see Lilly!

new STUFF
In college my professer told me that one of my art projects reminded him of The Horse in the Gray Flannel Suit. I have always wanted to do something like that... Right now I'm loving oxford fabrics, wool tweeds and gross grain ribbon. Here is the beginning of my next thing... which you can buy in my etsy store of course!

Christmas and New Years and all that Jazz!
Blogging does not come naturally to me during the festive season. Let me tell you... I was either making food, or eating it and then I was wishing I had not made so made so much food. In between all that food we had family and fun and loving every minuet of Lilly running around being just plain cute.
New Years was great as our besties from the "big" city came up to make great food (thanks Tarjei!!!) and crazy fireworks
Here is the play by play:
