Dear blog friends... I'm in a blog funk... can't seem to get to excited about blogging. I did however spend some time to figure out my flip and have a few clips of the girls that only a mother can enjoy watching. So, I will leave you with a question that I have been pondering... How many times a day /week is it normal to vacume? I think I am loosing perspective. Really. Gotta love my Hazel nut!

the long winter

we are almost there... two more weeks and the sun will start to peep over the mountain... Just before you think you can't handle it much longer. I will party, oh yes, I will! This winter has been rough. We lost some very good friends on the farm the part of farm life that I am still getting used to. Just wanting to post some of the good times with some friends we will miss greatly and were lucky to have!

Christmas was the bomb! The girls were darling and we got to dress up allot and they got all sorts of dress ups and they are all just a riot. Hazel looks like a teapot cozy in this number... The poor little nut has been sick all day and SO glad I got the house in bare after decoration mode cus there has been some serious stomach flu today. My kids never get sick so let me get a little dramatic about this... New Years was fab too, had some great company! I don't want to see another turkey for a year, but that is how it should be! So thankful for yet another year of health and happiness. Resolutions? Get skinny. Potty train Lilly. The latter is going better. Wish Dora underpants would have the same motivational effect on me... Happy New Year friends!

Christmas Card

I couldn't help doing this picture for our chirstmas card this year, it cracks me up. I wish it came with a youtube video of us putting it together... We wanted the cats and chickens to be in it too, but gotta save some fun for next year. So I ordered 40 of these great cards... Goes to show how oftain I order chirstmas cards. Ran out after addressing to the family. Also found some addressed cards in my couch when vacuuming yesterday. Ill try to get those out asap, you will know who you are, they are little wrinkled! But lets get real here people! Its almost christmas and I would love to wish all my blog buddies a very merry christmas! Let the famliy and eating time commence!

We all went out in our forrest to get a chirstmas tree tree today, it was quite the adventure!

We had a great visit with the family this past weekend, I LOVE that my parents live in Gammel Stavanger, it is so cozy and SO close to the city!

So my girls got me on this knitting jag... Thank you guys! So obsessed, totally medicates my ADHD and so happy that I found a new way to use the wool from our sheep as filler. Have the boyfriend combing wool while watching football at night. Gotta keep em busy!

Christmas craft fair

We were invited to have a small stand at our local christmas craft fair. It was fun and the girls were cute and it gave me a deadline to get some work done which was very much needed... Everything that didn't sell is going out on Etsy! Enjoy!

cleaning up the desktop

I had the most fab weekend with my BFF and Co. We ate, rode horses and read magasins and ate some more. You might notice we are back to three sheep. We sent three off to slaughter. We decided to get two returned to us. I thought this would be hard, but the only hard part was the slaughter house, that was horrible. The whole drive there horrible. That, and they lost our prize winning lamb, which they compensated by giving us another. So Andreas and I have spent the last night salting what will be our christmas dinner, and lots of many other goodies that we can share with friends and fill our tummies this winter.

meet Mozen

I am so lucky to have this gentileman stay on our farm! He is perfect in every way and oh so kind. He has been a grand dressage horse his whole life and is getting used to us hiks out here in the country. So, now you know why I don't blog anymore, or clean the house, or any other thing I used to find time for... And, just look at the super cute stall he has!!!!

Just incase you people thought we were getting lazy... This came Sunday morning and we had to move it to the loft (roof behind hay) before the night. When the girls went down for a nap we went loose on this hay buisness, and realized after the first two layers we needed to call a friend... and they came and we love them for that!

Kazoo

This was a riot, Hazel loves to blow her Kazoo! She wanted Bingo to blow too... Bingo, not so much...

So, fall has hit the farm. The sheep are back, the horses are in and the hay is coming next week. I have yet to post pictures of our three new family members, can't wait to show them off. We did not get all our projects done, but almost. The rest will just have to wait til spring. Time to bundle up, and start some serious sewing action this fall!!!
