I have been meaning to get a picture of Lilly riding forever, glad my man was there today to help. We had a fantasic day doing all sorts of odds and ends on the farm.

Chocolate chip cookies

So, I've been into bringing back the childhood foods lately and found a cookie recipe that is sinfully good. I'm gonna let you all in on my secret. How cool are the milk glasses?! They are my latest Fretex find and go perfect with the cookies!

Ingredients
3/4 cup white sugar
3/4 cup packed brown sugar
2 eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 cup butter
2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon baking powder
2 cups semisweet chocolate chips

Directions
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
In medium bowl, combine flour, salt, baking soda, and baking powder. Stir with fork so all ingredients are mixed.
In large bowl, combine sugars, and butter. Mix until smooth. Add eggs and vanilla and beat until smooth and fluffy.
Add 1 cup of dry ingredients at a time to mixture until all is incorporated. Drop cookies onto ungreased cookie sheet and bake for about 10-15 minutes or until edges are golden brown.

We had such a wonderful evening, Andreas got to burn some of his tree business... We got to enjoy the full moon. Everybody happy happy yea yea, except for mr sheep. He still has a tummie ache from getting into the feed in the barn...

My BFF came back from NYC and look at the goodies that she brought me!!!!!

And she also got me some knobs from Anthropologie for my knob collection! Now I can finish off my kitchen and toss these nasty suckers:

Another thing I can't get enough of is my Hazel nut, she is just too darn cute lately!

I had to do some backtracking on my blog to remember when the sun came back over the mountain and hit the farm. There are some suttle signs that spring is on its way. The hens have started laying again (those who stopped for winter) and Donkey is shedding her teddybear coat. I'm really staring to feel the energy creeping back. Don't worrie guys, I'll let you know when my good friend sun returns!

On another note, Hazel and I get to spend some quality time together this weekend and what a quality nut she is!

First off I'd like to wish my dear dad a fantastic 60th birthday! Next, I'd like to wish my little big brother a very happy 30th!!! We are sending you both lots of birthday love!

Then I'd like to talk about my BFF who is at this very moment on a plane to NYC... SO wish I could be there with her. I will be living vicariously through her every fantastic moment.

Yesterday some girls and I had a fantastic lunch at this darling little place:

I brought the leftovers home for the man:We got crazy urban and had sushi for dinner tonight:
The reality is that I have been without a car for the past 4 weeks and I [we] are getting a little moody.
