Happy Easter!

Easter is up there with my favorite holidays.  Its a tie with Thanksgiving.  Nothing like spring and friends and family and chocolate all in one.  The run down:  Had our very first vacay as a family.  It was fab. Pics to come. 

Boyfriend finished the first permanent fence around our little field.  No more Little Bo Peep loosing her sheep! 

Hazel got some much needed alone time as big sis was at the in laws.

Lilly had an unfortunate experience with hot stuff and is now nursing 2 degree burns on hand and tummy.  She is such a trooper and we are so lucky she is healing nicely.

 Just took down our home grown salted lamb meat that has been hanging in the hayloft all winter.  Prize meat people!  I know I am totally grossing you Americans out, but it is really good, take my word for it!

And again great times with friends and family like Coc au Vin good neighbours!  So forgot to take a picture of the meal....

Thanks for asking! The fam started the day with a mountain hike.  Tour guide Lilly informed us of all the unicorns and fairy's that live in the forest.   Boyfriend conquered the wood pile from Brobdingnag.  Lilly and I took our first buggy ride with Donkey together and Donkey was a doll (so was Lil), sorry no pics from that...  We also had a pony ride.  Lots of outside playing in the SUN GLORIOUS SUN!

Just in time for Easter!  Peter spent the morning riding in Lilly's doll pram.  She has to pet him every time every time she goes out side.  Here she is pictured in our normal farm attire!

To document my first weekend alone, without children on the farm (3.5 yrs folks!) I made a celebratory film on top of the mountain behind our house.  Yes, it is CHEESY, yes I am a total dork, and yes, this is supposed to make all you people want to come and visit me.  Boyfriend said that it had an unfortunate ending...  He also said some other things, but lets not talk about that...

Spring is just about to explode here, I swear I could see the grass grow last Saturday.  I got my Easter stuff out Monday night and surprised the girls Tuesday morning.  They loved them and the decorations are mostly all over the house now, with some already broken.  I have a few pics taken with the iPhone, cus I'm hooked and so funny cus I was kinda against them, but you know if you can't beat them join 'em!

 My bangs are back and I have missed them so, and let me just tell you how much fun I am having with my mans new iphone...  I'm in love with them both! SMASK!  Don't we look like tards...  This was like the best one of about 50 trys too, we are so lame...  I'm asking santa for an iphone!

btw gonna make some changes on the blog... Like the title... So lame and gonna do a "The Facebook"and just go with "Little Farm". I keep on thinking "Little Farm Big Fart"... It's gotta go...

Where do I start? Can you believe this wig???? Lilly is obsessed and wore it all around town with grandma instead of her hat. Just check out her finger pose in this picture!

Hazel belongs in a fairytale, she is so very munchkin. She is also so very in the dog house after pouring my water bottle over our computer. It is dead. I have boyfriends work PC for the evening...

Lilly is a little under the weather this week, but we were thrilled when we got a package from our family in the US. The girls got glitter slippers and I got seeds for my garden. I don't know who was more excited! (I'm thinking Lilly cus she is wearing her shoes in bed!) All I know is that I'm itching to get my garden started this year! Also just wanted to document that Lilly has entered the "why" phase, only in Norwegian its "koffer det dååååååååååååååå"

Dear blog friends... I'm in a blog funk... can't seem to get to excited about blogging. I did however spend some time to figure out my flip and have a few clips of the girls that only a mother can enjoy watching. So, I will leave you with a question that I have been pondering... How many times a day /week is it normal to vacume? I think I am loosing perspective. Really. Gotta love my Hazel nut!

the long winter

we are almost there... two more weeks and the sun will start to peep over the mountain... Just before you think you can't handle it much longer. I will party, oh yes, I will! This winter has been rough. We lost some very good friends on the farm the part of farm life that I am still getting used to. Just wanting to post some of the good times with some friends we will miss greatly and were lucky to have!

Christmas was the bomb! The girls were darling and we got to dress up allot and they got all sorts of dress ups and they are all just a riot. Hazel looks like a teapot cozy in this number... The poor little nut has been sick all day and SO glad I got the house in bare after decoration mode cus there has been some serious stomach flu today. My kids never get sick so let me get a little dramatic about this... New Years was fab too, had some great company! I don't want to see another turkey for a year, but that is how it should be! So thankful for yet another year of health and happiness. Resolutions? Get skinny. Potty train Lilly. The latter is going better. Wish Dora underpants would have the same motivational effect on me... Happy New Year friends!

Christmas Card

I couldn't help doing this picture for our chirstmas card this year, it cracks me up. I wish it came with a youtube video of us putting it together... We wanted the cats and chickens to be in it too, but gotta save some fun for next year. So I ordered 40 of these great cards... Goes to show how oftain I order chirstmas cards. Ran out after addressing to the family. Also found some addressed cards in my couch when vacuuming yesterday. Ill try to get those out asap, you will know who you are, they are little wrinkled! But lets get real here people! Its almost christmas and I would love to wish all my blog buddies a very merry christmas! Let the famliy and eating time commence!

We all went out in our forrest to get a chirstmas tree tree today, it was quite the adventure!

We had a great visit with the family this past weekend, I LOVE that my parents live in Gammel Stavanger, it is so cozy and SO close to the city!

So my girls got me on this knitting jag... Thank you guys! So obsessed, totally medicates my ADHD and so happy that I found a new way to use the wool from our sheep as filler. Have the boyfriend combing wool while watching football at night. Gotta keep em busy!
